MEA IS CLOSELY MONITORING ALL THE LEGAL PROCEEDINGS, ZERO TOLERANCE AGAINST TERRORISM: ARINDAM BAGCHI
New Delhi, July 02, 2021: In today’s press conference by Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Arindam Bagchi cleared that currently their priority is purposing domestic production as part of the domestic vaccination program. He said that government is making all efforts to augment vaccine production.
He further shared that – “Our expectation is that Indians vaccinated through our domestic vaccination program would be treated at par with those vaccinated in the EU and vaccination certificate would be recognized by EU on a reciprocal basis.”
Asking upon the recent terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir, he answered that – “A drone was spotted over the premises of the Indian High Commission in Islamabad, Pakistan on 26th June. This has been taken up officially with the Govt of Pakistan. We expect Pakistan to investigate the incident and prevent recurrence of such breach of security.”
He stated that – “We categorically deny reports based on tweets by some journalists that MEA has met any Taliban leader. Such reports are false and mischievous.”
He mentioned this very precisely that – “We are closely monitoring the legal proceedings. We are concerned with increased violence Afghanistan based on which we have issued a security advisory for Indians based there. India has zero tolerance policy against terrorism. All countries must take action, end terror havens and financing. We call upon Pakistan to put an end to cross-border terrorism and bring perpetrators of Mumbai and Pathankot attacks to justice.”
