ONE OF THE MOST ARTICULATE, SUAVE AND WELL MANNERED PCS OFFICER SUPERANNUATES AFTER LONG AND GLORIOUS SERVICE
Jalandhar, 30 July 2021 : One of the most articulate, perfectionist and well mannered officer of the Punjab Civil Service (PCS) Barjinder Singh today hung his boot after around three decades of long and effective public service.
A 2012 batch PCS officer, Barjinder Singh was currently posted as Secretary Regional Transport Authority (RTA) Jalandhar and had been rendering marvelous service to the public. The soft spoken and well behaved officer had throughout is service carved a niche for himself by flawlessly executing every assignment given to him. This not only made this officer stand apart from his other colleagues but also ensured that he remained vital and invincible throughout his long and chequered public service.
The high point in the service of this suave but determined PCS officer came during 2019 when as Deputy Director of the Local Bodies Government he ensured perfect arrangements for sanitation during the celebrations of 550th parkash purab of Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji at Sultanpur Lodhi. The officer himself pedaled the bi-cycle to inspect the arrangements in the holy city early in the morning and even in midnight to monitor the sanitization operations in the city. The efforts of the officer didn’t get unnoticed and he was lauded by one and all for the stupendous services rendered during the celebrations.
It has been a fact that this officer throughout his service had taken every assignment given to him head on and his services will go down in annals of public service as one of the most decorated one. The officer was given a warm send off by his staff and colleagues at the local district administrative complex. The staff and colleagues recalled the services offered by him and wished him a bright and healthy future.
