Sumit Jarangal to continue as DIPR
Chandigarh, 22 April 2022 : One of the most dynamic Director of Information and Public Relations department Sumit Jarangal has been retained on the post by the AAP government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
In orders issued today Sumit Jarangal has been retained as Director Information and Public Relations department, which is considered as most important portfolio, being the mouthpiece of government.
A soft and suave IAS officer, Jarangal has the credit of activating this once moribund department with his capability to galvanise the official cadre. His personal approach towards the officers did wonders as he was able to strike a perfect balance amongst all the wings of the department thereby pushing the things in right direction.
Department has scored new heights in his tenure as Director as he was able to harness the immense potential of department in right way. Recognising this the Bhagwant Mann government has decided to retain Jarangal as Director by giving him some additional responsibilities too.
