SPECIAL ASSESSMENT CAMP TO BE HELD FOR PHYSICALLY DISABLED ON SUNDAY AT JAIN BHAWAN
DC EXHORTS ELIGIBLE PERSONS TO TAKE MAXIMUM BENEFIT OF THIS CAMP BY ENSURING THEIR ACTIVE PARTICIPATION
SAYS, MOVE AIMED AT LENDING A HELPING HAND TO THE NEEDY PHYSICALLY DISABLE PERSON
Jalandhar, 05 March 2022 : To extend a helping hand to the physically disable persons, NGO Shri S.S. Jain Conference in cooperation with Jaladhar Administration would be holding a special assessment camp on Sunday i.e. March 6 at Shri Mahavir Jain Bhawan, Kapurthala Chowk from 10am to 4pm.
Divulging the details, District Program Officer G.S. Randhawa said that in this camp a team of experts would assess the extent of disability of the people and prepare a report for distributing artificial limbs, hearing aids, wheel chairs, and Braille Cane to them free of cost. He said that after compiling the data a free distribution camp would also be organized in coming days to help the people suffering from any sort of physical disability.
Describing this camp a real service to humanity, Jalandhar Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori lauded the efforts of the NGO Shri S.S. Jain Conference for holding such a camp which would further change the lives of physically disabled persons. He also said that the district administration would extend fulsome support and cooperation to the organization for this noble cause.
Exhorting the people to take full benefit of this camp, Mr. Thori said that this camp would give much needed relief to the needy people. He appealed to all the PWD persons to participate in this camp so as to take maximum benefit with artificial limbs and aid from the experts. Meanwhile, he asked the officers/ officials concerned to disseminate the message of this camp among all eligible beneficiaries so that they could avail the benefit of this campaign.
