All set for dawn of new era in Congress
Chandigarh, July 17 2021 : Indications are true stage is all set for dawn of new era in Congress as firebrand Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu has all of sudden emerged as pivot by enhancing his political activity in the state capital.
Though all eyes were set on meeting of General Secretary All India Congress Harish Rawat and Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh. But Sidhu stole the thunder out of it by making rounds in most of Cabinet Ministers of state. Sources revealed that while Rawat will be conveying message of Congress high command to make Sidhu the President of Punjab Congress to CM, Sidhu as desired by high command is winning over the confidence of Congress leaders.
Instead of calling the senior leaders Sidhu has been since morning visiting the key leaders like outgoing Punjab Congress chief Sunil
Jakhar, Cabinet Ministers Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, Balbir Singh Sidhu whereas sources revealed that visiting residences of other Ministers and key leaders is also part of Sidhu’s itinerary later in the day. It is the game plan of Sidhu to ensure maximise support before being announced as new Congress chief of the state. This is likely to pay dividends to him as it will help him in consolidating his position tremendously.
On the other hand with number of MLAs accompanying Sidhu it seems the loss is likely to be CM camp as they have to reformulate strategy to have a grip over party, which they had hitherto enjoyed. In any way this is certainly a dawn of new era for Punjab Congress and its impact will be visible soon
