High alert in Kangra, Dharamshala and Mcleod ganj due to heavy rains

Kangra, July 13 2021 : Following a flash flood in Dharamshala on Monday, the entire Kangra district including hills stations of Dharamshala and Mcleod ganj have been put on high alert for five days and people have been advised not to leave their homes.

As per the orders issued by District Magistrate Kangra heavy rainfalls are expected in the district in coming days due to which the entire Kangra district including tourist spot Dharamshala have been put on five days high alert. In view of the alert the residents of the district have been advised to stay home and come out only in emergency. Pertinently, with mercury rising in plains the hill stations of Dharamshala and Mcleod ganj had emerged as hot spots for tourists but with in prevailing situation it will not be advisable and safe for tourists to move in these cities.
