JOINT COMMISSIONER GST INAUGURATES THIRD DAY MATCHES OF JHCPL

FINAL TO BE PLAYED TODAY AMONG WINNERS OF SEMI-FINALS

Jalandhar, 04 December 2021 : Urging people to make sports an integral part of their lives for physical as well as mental well-being, Joint Commissioner GST Amit Sharma today inaugurated the third day matches of Jalandhar Heights Cricket Premier League. As many as four teams participated in the semi-finals including Exxaro warriors vs Axis warriors and Unik warriors vs Kartar warriors. Of these, two winner teams would play in the final on Sunday evening.

Hailing the efforts of organizing committee ‘warriors group’ for this tournament, the joint Commissioner said that such events not just promote sports culture among people residing in residential apartments but also help channelizing the unbounded energy of youths into the right direction. Terming such events as need of the hour, Mr. Sharma appealed others to emulate this move so as to create sports environment in every nook and corner of the city.

Accompained by Gurwinder Singh Sangha, Kamal Sehgal, Colonel Ajay Tikker, the Chief Guest interacted with the members of teams participating in the semi-final while wishing them best of luck for their matches. The joint Commissioner further mentioned that sports is a key to the formation of healthier society besides infusing a sense of confidence and discipline among people.

Meanwhile, the President of NGO Warriors groups Varun Kohli informed that this tournament was organised annually by them. He said that this year four teams were participating in the tournament which is being organised on league basis.  He also thanked Mr Sukhdev Singh from AGI infra for providing requisite logistic help to the NGO for smooth conduct of the event.

Earlier, organising committee of Warrior groups led by Mr Varun Kohli, Mr Rajinder Raja, Mr Ankur Dhuria, Mr Nitin Puri, Mr Davinder Saini, Mr Anudeep Bajaj, Mr Vikas Sharma, Mr Ankur Sehgal , Mr Sanjeev Ahuja, Mr Kamal Sehgal, Mr Manpreet Gaba, Mr Shamil Menno, Mr Sanjeev Arora, Mr Bobby Ratan, Mr Vishal Gumber, SK Mishra and others welcomed the dignitaries on the occasion.
