ON MINISTER’s ORDERS, INSTRUCTIONS ISSUED TO FORM FLYING SQUADS AT MARKET COMMITTEE LEVEL DURING KMS 2021-22
CHANDIGARH, 03 OCTOBER 2021 : In order to keep a check on recycling of paddy/bogus billing, Punjab Food Supplies Minister Mr. Bharat Bhushan Ashu‘s orders directions have been issued to all the Deputy Commissioners to constitute flying squads at market committee level that will strictly check the inflow of unauthorised paddy/rice from other states.
Giving details in this regard an official spokesperson said that as per the directions each flying squad would comprise of a representative of Deputy Commissioner, Mandi Board, Excise and Taxation/GST Wing and Police Department as members to ensure strict compliance of orders.
The spokesperson said that the daily report would be submitted to the concerned Deputy Commissioner by the committees regarding checking of unauthorised paddy/rice besides impounding of trucks and seizing of godowns, if found violating the instruction at market committee level. The Deputy Commissioners will initiate requisite action against the erring persons indulged in this malpractice besides further sending report to food and civil supplies department.
