Rana Gurjit Singh to be back with a bang, Brahm to be Speaker
Chandigarh, 24 September 2021 : With constitution of Punjab Cabinet on cards, Firebrand Congress leader and former Punjab Minister Rana Gurjit Singh is all set to make a comeback in it as high command has cleared his name.
As per sources Rana Gurjit Singh, Dr Raj Kumar Verka, Gurkirat Kotli, Amarinder Singh Raja warring, sangat Singh Giljian, Kaka Randeep Singh, Pargat Singh and Kuljit Singh Nagra will be inducted in the Cabinet along with old timers Tript Rajinder Bajwa, Aruna Chaudhary, Razia Sultana, Manpreet Singh Badal, Bharat Bhushan Ashu, Vijendra Singla and Sukhbinder Singh Sukhsarkaria are likely to make again in Cabinet.
Former Local government Minister Brahm Mohindra is likely to be the new Speaker of Punjab Vidhan Sabha. Similarly, controversial Ministers Balbir Singh Sidhu, Gurpreet Singh Kangar, Sadhu Singh Dharmsot, Gurmeet Singh Rana Sodhi and Sunder Sham Arora are likely to be dropped.
Rana Gurjit Singh is a strong political leader from Doaba region and was a Minister in Captain government. However, owing to his clear stand over dominance of bureaucracy and other issues he had scuffle with Suresh Kumar the Chief Principal Secretary to then Chief Minister. As a part of conspiracy he was asked to resign from Cabinet. But now with change of guard good days for Rana are back and he is making a strong comeback in Cabinet.
