IPL TO RESUME ON SEPT 19 IN UAE

7 June 2021: The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 that was suspended due to outbreak of COVID-19 into the bio-bubble of the players will resume from September 19, 2021 in the UAE and the finale will be played on October 15, 2021. Earlier in the previous month The Board of Control for Cricket in India confirmed that IPL 2021 would be held in UAE now, instead of India. Before the IPL 2021 was suspended because of covid-19 breach, 29 matches were played successfully.
While the venue and date for resuming IPL 2021 has been confirmed but the involvement of the foreign players in the second half is still doubtful. England has made it clear that the players won’t be available due to national duty. According to some media sources, Australian players might also withdraw their names from the second half of IPL 2021. The BCCI officials added that the cricket governing body is working on the process of getting foreign players back are hopeful to get a positive response.
