J Elanchezhian appointed as DIG in CBI on deputation basis
(Rajinder Kumar) NewDelhi, 09 September 2025: In a formal notification, the Ministry of Home Affairs has approved the induction of Shri J Elanchezhian, IPS (PB:2010), as Deputy Inspector General (DIG) in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on deputation basis.
Elanchezhian will serve in the post for an initial period of five years, or until further orders. The Punjab government has been directed to relieve him within three weeks to enable him to assume his new assignment at the Centre.
