Mock Drill in India on May 7
(Rajinder Kumar) NewDelhi, 06 May 2025: A nationwide mock drill will take place on May 7 across 244 districts including regions of Jammu and Kashmir, Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Punjab. The drill aims to train civilians during emergencies like air raids and potential attacks.
The central government is also holding key meetings to plan this drill. In Punjab, mock drill will take place in cities such as Jalandhar, Amritsar, Ludhiana, Patiala, Gurdaspur, Ferozepur, Hoshiarpur, Pathankot, Bathinda, Mohali, Abohar, Sangrur, Ropar, Faridpur, Batala, Barnala, Halwara, and Bhakra Nangal.
During the drill, power blackouts will be done, people will be guided to safe locations, and steps will be taken to protect important buildings and factories.
