HOLD MAXIMUM CAMPS IN RURAL AREAS TO MAKE GHAR GHAR ROJGAR YOJNA A MEGA SUCCESS IN DISTRICT- DC ASKS SDMs AND BDPOs

Jalandhar, 25 August 2021 : Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori today asked all the Sub Divisional Magistrates (SDMs) and BDPOs to play a vanguard role in Ghar-Ghar Rojgar Mission by holding maximum job fairs in their respective jurisdiction so that rural population could be equally benefited with this ambitious scheme of the state government.

The DC said that over 15000 jobs would be offered to unemployed youths during the 7th round of the mega job fair which was scheduled to be held September 9-17, 2021 across the district. He asked all the officials to ensure maximum job opportunities for the rural folk nearby their town, which would further give impetus to this scheme. Mr. Thori also directed SDMs to chalk out a detailed plan for their by roping in maximum employers from their respective sub divisions.

The Deputy Commissioner further added that on September 9, Job fair would be held at Guru Nanak College Nakodar, on September 10 at District Bureau of Employment and Enterprise, Jalandhar, on September 13 at CT Group of Institute Shahpur, on September 15 at Janta College Kartarpur, and on September 17 at BDPO office Bhogpur. SDMs and BDPOs were asked to plan more camps for rural areas, he said. He also asked the Civil Surgeon to consult with private hospitals and prepare a list of manpower required to them so that more opportunities could be provided to unemployed youths.

The Deputy Commissioner envisioned that mega job fairs being organized by the state government would act as a catalyst to open new vistas of employment for the youth of the district. He said that this was a noble initiative by the state government led by Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh to provide jobs to every household under the Ghar Ghar Rozgar Yojna.
