CM snubs Detractors, Rewards Loyalists during Reshuffle
Chandigarh, 20 August 2021 : Today’s transfers and postings have a lot to say apart from being a routine administrative exercise as the Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has used this effective tool to snub his detractors and reward loyalists.
The first causality of this has been Navjot Singh Mahal, a nephew of Cabinet Minister Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwa. Since the formation of Congress government in state Mahal had been SSP at Khanna, Jalandhar and now at Hoshiarpur. However now when Bajwa had locked horns with Chief Minister Mahal a PPS officer was shown door and shifted to PAP as commandant, a low profile job for Police officers.
But in the other hand brother of Congress MP Jasbir Singh Dimpa and SSP Moga Harmanbir Singh Gill got the benefit of his brother’s close proximity with Chief Minister as he was shifted from Moga to Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar. Many other officers who enjoy close proximity with the Chief Minister’s camp have got plum postings during this reshuffle which clearly indicates that CM camp is strengthening its control over the administrative set up in the state.
