DC dismisses five nambardars for unauthorized absence from villages and moving abroad

Jalandhar, 1  February  2023   :    Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar Mr Jaspreet Singh has dismissed five nambardars of district for unauthorized absence from their respective villages and moving abroad.

In order issued on Wednesday, the Deputy Commissioner has dismissed nambardars of Gorsianpeera, Arjanwal, Sagrawali, Raipur and Salempur Musalmana villages for their gross misconduct. In his orders Deputy Commissioner said that it has came into his notice that some nambardars either move abroad or remain absent from their Revenue Estate. He said that even some had got PR in abroad which is the gross violation of the Revenue rules.

The Deputy Commissioner said that it has come to his notice that the nambardars move abroad without informing the deputy commissioner office whereas as per rules they cannot move abroad without getting his sarbraah appointed who functions in his absence. He said that the nambardar is duty bound to serve the people of his revenue estate but by moving abroad without permission he creates a lot of nuisance for the common man. He said that on one hand it creates problem for people and on the other hand causes problem for Revenue officers too.

The Deputy Commissioner also asked the Circle Revenue Officers to desist from practice of allowing nambardars to move abroad without his permission. He said that circle officers should ensure strict compliance of these orders. He said that if any Nambardar goes abroad then report for his dismissal must be send to him within a fortnight.
