Punjab IAS Officers goes on mass leave against VB action
Chandigarh, 9 January 2023 : Expressing solidarity with the IAS officer Neelima who had been recently booked by the Vigilance Bureau, the IAS officers had proceeded on mass leave against VB action.
A delegation of the officers met Chief Secretary VK Janjua and Additional Chief Secretary to Chief Minister A Venuprasad and flagged their resentment before them. The officers said that the procedure has not been followed while registration of the case against Neelima. Sources said that miffed over the entire incident the IAS officers have proceeded on mass leave against the action of Vigilance Bureau.
It may be recalled that the PCS officers and the subordinate staff is already on warpath against action of Bureau. The decision of IAS officers is further going to cripple the working of state government.
