STAMP VENDORS’ LICENSES UNDER GHAR GHAR ROZGAR AND KAROBAR MISSION WOULD ENSURE EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR YOUTHS – GHANSHYAM THORI

Jalandhar, 08 December 2021 :  District Administration is all set to issue as many as 157 stamp vendors’ licenses to eligible candidates as Punjab Technical University (PTU) today declared the test result by preparing merit list of the eligible applicants.

Divulging the details, Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori said that in order to ensure transparency in the selection procedure, the district administration had entrusted this responsibility to Punjab Technical University. He also added that the university had then evolved free and fair selection procedure including a written exam followed by an interview.

Mr. Thori further added that a total of 451 candidates appeared in both the exams, subsequently a merit list has been prepared by the university based on performance of candidates in the exam.

Pointing out further, Additional Deputy Commissioner cum Chairman Supervising Committee Amarjit Singh Bains said that the final result comprised marks obtained by candidates in both written exam and interview. He also added that a total of 518 aspirants had applied for these 157 posts. Of these, 470 appeared in the written exam while 451 turned up for the interview, he said, adding the university has prepared merit list of all 451 candidates appreard in both modules of exam.

The ADC further mentioned that the exam consisted of written test of 70 marks, followed by an interview having 10 numbers adding that 20 points were be given for marks in 10th exam. The higher the marks in class 10th, the higher the points were given to candidates; applicants can check their results at http://af.ptuexam.com/PublicAnnouncement.aspx.

Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori said that under Ghar Ghar Rozgar and Karobar Mission the 157 licenses of stamp vendors would be issued to youths as per merit list to provide them employment opportunities. Notably, the entire selection process (from advertisement to result) was conducted by the special committee headed by ADC (General) Amarjit Bains.
