When a Police constable blocked entry of Sampla at CM’s function
Phagwara, 05 November 2021 : Chairman of National Commission for Schedule Castes Vijay Sampla today landed in an embarrassing situation when a Police constable stopped him from entering the venue of Chief Minister Charanjit Channi’s function here.
The Chief Minister was slated to attend an event related to Pargat utsav of Bhagwan Vishwakarma here on Banga road. Keeping in view visit of Chief Minister the district Police had made elaborate security arrangements. Chairman of National SC Commission Vijay Sampla also went for attending the event.
However as soon as Vijay Sampla accompanied by local BJP leader Tejasvi Bhardwaj and others tried to enter the main pandal where CM was to come, a constable at the VVIP entry point stopped him. Though the staff and leaders tried to convince the constable but for few minutes he remained adamant and didn’t allowed Sampla to enter thereby landing the prominent BJP leader in an embarrassing situation. However sensing trouble security incharge of VVIP enclosure DSP Palwinder Singh rushed to the spot and allowed the entry of Sampla.
However it was not only Sampla but other leaders also who faced high handedness of Police. Even several Congress leaders also denied entry in VVIP enclosure thereby leading to heated arguments amongst the leaders and Police.
