Vijay Sampla reappointed as Chairman of NCSC
New Delhi, 23 April 2022 : Senior BJP leader and prominent SC leader Vijay Sampla has been reappointed as the Chairman of the National Commission for Schedule Caste (NCSC).
A former Union Minister, Sampla had resigned from the post to contest Vidhan Sabha election from Phagwara assembly segment. One of the stalwart SC leaders of the country Sampla had also served as the President of the Punjab unit of BJP. An experienced face of BJP Sampla is known for his hard work and commitment towards the well being of the weaker and downtrodden sections of society.
His appointment is seen as an attempt by the saffron party to consolidate its mass base amongst the weaker sections of society. Sampla is the second leader from state to assume charge of this august office as earlier senior Congress leader and former Union Minister Sardar Buta Singh had remained on this coveted post. Meanwhile, Sampla’s supporter are rejoicing the appointment of veteran leader.
