Jalandhar, 14 August 2021 : In view of high security ahead of the Independence Day function at Guru Gobind Singh Stadium, the Commissionerate Police have banned the use of drones in the city till August 15, Commissioner of Police Gurpreet Singh Bhullar briefed while reviewing security arrangements ahead of I-Day event.

Presiding over a review meeting at Guru Gobind Singh Stadium on Saturday, directed the police officials to remain vigil round the clock so as to ensure foolproof security arrangements here. He categorically mentioned that any kind of laxity in this task would be dealt with heavy hands.

           

Thereafter, the CP visited the prominent places of the city, where he personally briefed the police officials as to how to look for suspected activities in their respective jurisdictions. He further solicited people’s support in preventing any kind of untoward situation by informing police about any kind of suspicious activities and persons in the city.

Meanwhile, Mr. Bhullar stated that the special help from anti-sabotage teams  and bomb squads of Army was taken today in the wake of Independence Dat event.
