Sports Minister Rana Sodhi mourns demise of ‘Miracle of Chandigarh’ Bebe Mann Kaur
Chandigarh, 31 July 2021 : Punjab Sports and Youth Services Minister Rana Gurmit Singh Sodhi has condoled the sad demise of world record holder 105 year old athlete Bebe Mann Kaur. Rana Sodhi said that with the passing away of an inspirational soul Bebe Mann Kaur, a huge void has been created in the world of sports.
Notably, Bebe Mann Kaur, India’s oldest athlete and known as the ‘Miracle of Chandigarh’ was battling with the cancer and was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Dera Bassi. She breathed her last this afternoon. She is survived by two sons and a daughter.
In his condolence message, the Sports Minister conveyed his heartfelt sympathies with the bereaved family, relatives and friends and prayed to the Almighty to give courage to them to bear this irreparable loss and grant eternal peace to the departed soul.
