Son rise in Phagwara as Harji Mann’s political activities gives sleepless nights to his father’s arch rivals
Phagwara, June 28 2021 – It is probably son rise in Congress as Harji Mann, youth Congress leader and son of former Punjab Minister and Chairman of Punjab Agro Industries Corporation Joginder Singh Mann has enhanced his political activities in Phagwara assembly segment.
Harji is third generation political leader after his grandfather and former Union Minister Sardar Buta Singh and his father Joginder Singh Mann. Harji had contested the elections for post of President of District Youth Congress but had lost with a narrow margin. Since then Harji Mann had been consolidating his position both within the party and amongst the youth.
His father’s long standing commitment and dedication for the party is also proving as a boon for him as he had been getting blessings of party bigwigs. More than that the Congress leaders see a lot of potential in mass appeal of Harji Mann amongst the youth. They envision that in today’s scenario when Congress will be fighting its toughest battle in 2022 a youth leader like Harji Mann can be instrumental in boosting prospects of party in coming elections.
However, activities of Harji Mann is giving sleepless nights to arch rivals of his father within and outside the Congress party. They feel that the charismatic father-son duo are capable of steering the Congress party to victory in coming polls which can be detrimental for their political career.
Meanwhile, Harji Mann, while talking to Times Punjab, said that he is putting all his efforts to wean away the youth from menace of drugs and channelise their positive energy for well being of people. He said that all out efforts are being made spreading the policies and programs of Congress party at the grass root level. He said that every youth in Phagwara will act as messenger of Rahul Gandhi for bringing back Congress party in power.
