Sharpen your skills to face any sort of eventuality : CP asks officers
Jalandhar, 13 November 2021 : Underscoring the need for further sharpening the skills of Gazetted Officers (GO) rank posted in Commissionerate Police, the Commissioner of Police Mr Naunihal Singh today organised a special shooting session for the officers.
In this session held at the PAP shooting range all the GO rank officers and their staff took part, which will further extended to entire force covering top to bottom order.
Speaking on the occasion, the Commissioner of Police said that this exercise is primarily aimed at further sharpening the skills of the officers to face any sort of eventuality. He said that Policing today has emerged has a challenging task and all the officers need to update themselves to combat any sort of eventuality.
Mr Naunihal Singh categorically said that the officers have been made to undergo this session so that perfection can be further ensured in their shooting skills, which is needed to tackle the crime deftly especially in wake of emerging threats to internal security.
The Commissioner of Police said that the GO rank officers are the frontline warriors of the Commissionerate Police and they need up to be fully geared up for meeting any sort of challenge. He said that such sessions/ exercises are aimed to ensure that officers are able to take any threat to internal security head on. Mr Naunihal Singh said that the officers of the Commissionerate Police are flag bearers of a rich legacy of Punjab Police to serve the country and its people.
The Commissioner of Police said that every officer including him is duty bound to uphold this glorious tradition. Mr Naunihal Singh further said that such sessions/ training programs will continue in future too for entire Police force. He said that no stone will be left unturned for making Commissionerate Police the best one across the state.
