SEVEN CANDIDATES ELECTED UNOPPOSED FOR BOARD OF DIRECTORS’ ELECTION IN LUDHIANA DISTRICT COOPERATIVE MILK PRODUCERS UNION LIMITED

Ludhiana, 25 October 2021 : As many as seven candidates for the polls of Board of Directors in Ludhiana District Cooperative Milk Producers Union Limited were elected unopposed on Monday. Today was scrutiny of the nomination papers following which 18 candidates remained in the fray and seven candidates including Rashpal Singh for Jagraon zone, Parminder Kaur for Raikot, Sukhpal Singh for Pakhowal, Dharamjeet Singh for Kohara, Tajinder Singh for Doraha, Harminder Singh for Payal and Piara Singh for Ramgarh Sardara were elected unopposed.

MLA Kuldeep Singh Vaid, Dakha constituency in-charge Capt Sandeep Singh Sandhu and District Congress Committee Ludhiana (Rural) president Karanjit Singh Soni Galib congratulated the unopposed election of seven candidates and lambasted Shiromani Akali Dal and its leaders for making unnecessary hue and cry over the transparent and democratic election process.

They said that in Jagraon zone, Akali Dal even failed to find a candidate and for Dakha zone, its candidate had filed incomplete documents.

They told that if they would have influenced the election process, then all the candidates would have been elected unopposed, as the Akalis have been doing openly for last several elections. They alleged that Akali leaders have no issue with themselves and trying to mislead people by spreading lies. They said that as Akali Dal had misled Punjabis by supporting three farm laws and later quit the Modi government to save face in Punjab.
MLA Vaid, Capt Sandhu and Soni Galib called Shiromani Akali Dal leaders habitual liars.
