Ludhiana, 9 July 2024 :  In an effort to bring government services directly to the people at their native places, a camp was organized in Bhaini Sahib Village as part of the Punjab Government’s “Sarkar Tuhade Dwar” program.
During the camp, officials approved various applications such as senior citizen cards, old-age pensions, widow pensions, power load enhancements, and new bank accounts on the spot.

Hailing the government’s campaign, Kashmir Singh and Savinder Kaur received prompt approval for their senior citizen cards, while Bhupinder Singh obtained the sanction letter for the old-age pension on the spot. Harbhajan Singh also successfully applied for power load enhancement, and Harvinder Singh, Tarsem Kaur, and Priya also opened new bank accounts at the camp.

Anmol Singh Dhaliwal, the Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development), explained that the camps are supervised by SDMs and involve officials from various government departments, including Revenue, Sewa Kendras, Social Justice, Empowerment and Minorities, Social Security and Development of Women and Children, Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Health, Water Supply and Sanitation, PSPCL, Rural Development and Panchayats, Food Supply Labour and Police. These officials not only provide on-the-spot services but also address any grievances that people may have.

Dhaliwal emphasized the Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann’s commitment to ensuring that government services and schemes reach the masses, and announced to hold more such camps across the district. He encouraged people to participate in these camps. During the camp, ADC Anmol Singh Dhaliwal, SDM Vikas Hira, and others handed over sanction letters of pensions and senior citizen cards.
