Real-Time Waste Collection App Launching Soon
Gurugram, 18 July 2024 : The Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG) is planning to launch an application in august to provide residents with real-time information about waste collection services. Here are some key features of the app:
The app will allow residents to track or monitor the live location of waste collection vehicles and provide updates on expected arrival times and the vehicles close to their homes. The user can fetch details about the driver and helper for each vehicle. It allows residents to create accounts using their property IDs and receive detailed information about the waste collection schedule and vehicle routes. Residents will be able to file complaints through the application.
The app designed to resolve the ongoing waste management collection issues in the city where the Municipal Corporation registers an average of more than 300 daily complaints about waste management.
A private firm is assigned with the task for developing the app. A research has been conducted by a private university as per MCG statement to discuss new features for increasing the efficiency and trasnparency, door to door collection and highlight on going issues. It is anticipated that the team will submit their report within 15days which then will be reviewed and updated before finalising the app.
