RBI BANS ONBOARDING OF NEW CUSTOMERS AT PAYTM, DIRECTS FOR AUDIT
NewDelhi, 12 MARCH 2022 : Reserve Bank of India has asked Paytm payments bank limited, to immideatly stop onboarding of new customers on its platform. In a press release issued by the RBI, the authority has also asked the paytm to get its IT system audit done by appointing an IT firm. Further, the onboarding of new customers would be subject to specific permission to be granted by RBI.
