Punjab government ends deputation of Captain’s close IPS officer VK Duggal
Chandigarh, 02 October 2021 : Punjab Government has relieved the dynamic IPS officer Vikramjit Duggal and asked him to join his parent state Telangana.
The 2007 batch IPS officer of Telangana cadre is considered close to former Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh and had been posted on plum postings including SSP Patiala, DIG Patiala range and then Commissioner of Police Amritsar during his regime.
The officer had earned kudos for him when he had rushed to field following incessant rain at Amritsar, the video of which became viral on social media.
