Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann Denied Permission to Attend Paris Olympics
Chandigarh, 3 August 2024 : Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s plans to support the Indian hockey team at the Paris Olympics were foiled as the Centre denied him permission due to security concerns. Mann was scheduled to visit Paris from August 3 to 9, but the Ministry of External Affairs withheld political clearance citing security reasons. The Aam Aadmi Party has condemned the move as an “insult to the people of Punjab”.
