PHAGWARA MC COMMISSIONER EXHORTS STUDENTS TO BE AMBASSADORS OF CLEAN, GREEN AND POLLUTION FREE PHAGWARA -

– FELICITATE BEST STUDENTS UNDER POSTER MAKING COMPETITION ORGANISED UNDER SWACHH BHARAT MISSION

Phagwara, 2 November 2022 : Commissioner of Municipal Corporation Phagwara Dr. Nayan Jassal today gave clarion call to the school students to become ambassadors of clean, green and pollution free Phagwara.

The Commissioner, who honoured the best students under the poster making competition organised under the Swachh Bharat Mission, today said that the students are the flag bearers of our society and they have a great role to play in the future. She said that the students must understand their role in making their own city clean, green and pollution free. She said that the students need to come forward for maintaining cleanliness and greenery in the society and state.

She said that the purpose of this painting competition was to sensitize the students for this noble cause. She said that every student must disseminate the message of cleaning their surroundings amongst the people to make them aware of this key issue. Dr. Nayan Jassal said that sustained efforts must be made by the students to spread the message of cleanliness in every nook and corner of the district, state and country.

She said that the Swachh Bharat campaign was very significant for creating awareness amongst the people to make the state and district clean and green. She said that the painting completion was humble but a step in the right direction to make the people aware about cleanliness of their surrounding areas. Dr. Nayan Jassal called upon the students to disseminate the message of this campaign amongst people for their active support and cooperation, as no such effort could be successful without active public participation.

She further said that the best chosen paintings under the campaign will be showcased in the meeting hall of the Municipal Corporation.
