PHAGWARA ADMINISTRATION ORGANIZES SPECIAL BOOTHS TO LINK VOTER ID CARDS WITH AADHAR CARDS
– ADC PHAGWARA URGES PEOPLE TO MAKE OPTIMUM USE OF THESE CAMPS FOR BECOMING ACTIVE PARTNER IF DEMOCRATIC PROCESS
Phagwara, 16 October 2022 : The Phagwara administration today organized special booth level camps to facilitate the voters linking their Voter Id Cards with the Aadhar cards to ensure transparent and fair polls in the future for the upcoming polls.
The Booth Level Officers (BLOs) today organized these camps at all the 227 polling booths across Phagwara to facilitate 1.93 lakh voters. The staff deputed during these camps facilitated the people by filling up their forms thereby enabling them to participate in the democratic process. The Additional Deputy Commissoner Phagwara Dr Nayan Jassal also visited the polling booths and interacted with the people about the ongoing process. She urged the people to derive maximum benefits from these camps to become an active partner in the democratic process in the country.
She said that these camps will play an instrumental role in further strengthening the democratic system in the country. She further said that these camps are being organized to ensure that every eligible was voter covered in the voter list gets their aadhar card linked with the voter Id card.
She further said that the campaign will continue in future also to ensure that the Aadhar cards of all the voters is linked with their voter ID cards. Dr Jassal urged the people to come forward for making this campaign a huge success. She said that it is the sole prerogative of the voter to get their card linked with Voter Id or not. She said that even those voters who do not have their aadhar cards then they can submit form 6-B with the Booth Level Officers sitting at their respective polling booths.
