PHAGWARA ADMINISTRATION ENSURES FOOLPROOF ARRANGEMENTS FOR THE SHOBHA YATRA TO MARK PARKASH UTSAV OF BHAGWAN VALMIKI JI : SAYS ADC
– REVIEWS ARRANGEMENTS FOR THE SHOBHA YATRA SLATED ON OCTOBER 8
Phagwara, 7 October 2022 : Additional Deputy Commissioner cum Commissioner Municipal Corporation Phagwara Dr Nayan Jassal on Friday said that the Phagwara administration had made foolproof arrangements for the shobha yatra to mark parkash utsav of Bhagwan Valmiki ji on October 8 and parkash utsav on October 9.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner, who held a series of meetings to review the arrangements, said that the administration is duty-bound for making elaborate arrangements so that people could participate in the Shobha Yatra with full religious gaiety and enthusiasm. She said that the district administration is leaving no stone unturned for making this event a huge success. Dr Jassal asked the people to participate in the Shobha Yatra with full religious fervor.
Dwelling on another point, the Additional Deputy Commissioner said that requisite arrangements have been made for traffic diversion, parking of vehicles, security arrangements and other facilities during the Shobha Yatra, so that pilgrims do not face any sort of problem. She asked every concerned officer to make sure that their staff performs the duty diligently for smooth conduct of affairs during this Shobha Yatra. Dr. Jassal said that every officer / official must ensure that people participating in this Shobha do not face any sort of problem.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner directed the Municipal Corporation Phagwara to ensure proper cleanliness of the route of the Shobha Yatra, sprinkle water on roads. Likewise, she asked the Health department to depute Medical teams during the Shobha Yatra along with medicines and Ambulances to facilitate the people. Dr. Jassal also asked the PSPCL to evolve a mechanism for supplying uninterrupted power during the Shobha Yatra. She also said that the Police will make necessary arrangements for maintaining law and order during the yatra adding that the deployment of lady force will be made in adequate numbers to ensure safety of women participants.
