Once a face of anti drug campaign former ACP Bimal Kant arrested for drug trafficking
Jalandhar, 10 February 2022 : The arrest of a retired ACP Bimal Kant in drug trafficking case has exposed the brutal face of Punjab Police.
President medal recipient Bimal Kant who has a long service in city has been face of anti drug campaign in city. As SHO and later as ACP he had worked with two Commissioner of Police PK Sinha and Gurpreet Singh Bhullar. He had zealously campaigned for anti drug campaign of Captain government in DAPO and Buddy campaigns.
However his arrest in drug trafficking case has brought bad name for Police. His arrest in drug trafficking case is expected to unmask many more high profile faces involved in this case. Meanwhile the STF is looking into the case minutely.
