Assistant Commissioner Kritika Goyal, DEO Secondary Harjinder Singh, DEO Primary Lalita Arora, and representatives from other departments were also present. He was accompanied by MLA Gurpreet Bassi Gogi at the Government Primary Smart School in Haibowal Kalan.

While he was pleased with the progress of works at most of the schools, Arora expressed concern over the halting of works at Government Primary School, Haibowal Kalan, where he had allocated Rs 25 lakh under the MPLAD scheme. He asked Assistant Commissioner Kritika Goyal to investigate the reason for the stalling of work and assured to provide more grants for computers and projectors wherever required by the schools.

In Chander Nagar Primary School, the MP assured that a cooling system would be provided because the school is in a very congested building. He also mentioned that he will address the issue of overhead high-tension wires passing over the school building by taking it up with PSPCL to find a solution, ensuring that the school won’t face any further issues for its expansion.

The MP also noted that middle schools are not receiving sufficient funds and are not fully maintained, he promised to personally take up this matter with the Education Minister, Punjab. He also highlighted discrepancies in schools, stating that rural schools have enough land but are short of students, while urban schools have less space but more students.

The MP assured that these development projects would provide modern facilities benefitting both students and teachers. He praised the Punjab government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, for being committed to enhancing the education sector through significant efforts and comprehensive reforms aimed at transforming the state’s government schools.
