Missing Meenu reunited with family with efforts of district administration

Meenu, who has been missing for almost two months from Bhawanigarh sub-division of Sangrur district, was reunited with her family today with the efforts of district administration.  Deputy Commissioner Sangrur, Ramvir said that due to mental disorder, a pregnant Meenu had gone missing and was recovered from Diamond Harbor Super Specialty Hospital in West Bengal.

He said that the West Bengal Radio Club shared the information about girl’s presence in West Bengal and also with the district administration.  He said that Meenu’s brother Deep Singh was immediately contacted by the district administration.  Expressing inability of the family to bring Meenu from West Bengal due to financial constraints, the girl’s brother was immediately provided Rs 10,000 by the District Red Cross Society.

Deputy Commissioner Ramvir said that after contacting the family members of Meenu, it was learned that the family had reached out to the girl. According to the family members, Meenu was physically fit, was in good health and his family was relieved and thanked the district administration for their support.
