Mann releases 21 point roadmap for the progress and prosperity of Phagwara
Phagwara, 13 February 2022 : In a first of its kind endeavour Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate from Phagwara and former Punjab Minister Joginder Singh Mann today released his 21 point agenda ‘My roadmap for our Phagwara’ focusing of progress and prosperity of constituency.
Integrating with media persons here today, Mann,accompanied by AAP leader Inderjit Singh Khalyan, said that top most priority will be accorded to make Phagwara a district. Likewise, he said that Phagwara will be included in Smart City scheme for its comprehensive development. He said that A religious tourism circuit comprising Khati dhaam-a holy place related to Lord Parshuram ji, Chak Hakim, where centuries old temple related to Sri Guru Ravidass ji is there, and Gurudwara Sukhchainana Sahib, associated with sixth Sikh Guru Sri Hargobind ji, will be developed to boost tourism in Phagwara and open new vistas of employment for youth.
He said that Chitti bein which enters Phagwara from Nasirabad till Maheru causes lot of havoc every year. As this Bein causes lot of loss to farmers every year so it will channelised on priority basis. Likewise, he said that A state of the art convention centre will be constructed at Phagwara in memory of Bharat Ratna Baba Sahib Dr BR Ambedkar. Similarly, he said existing civil hospital in Phagwara will be upgraded with state of the art facilities including trauma centre.

He said that In order to impart quality education to youngsters a premier government college will be established in Phagwara. Likewise efforts will be made open new vistas of self employment for youth by imparting quality technical education . He said that as many new localities have come up in and around Phagwara city, so 100% water supply and sewerage facility will be ensured in city.
Likewise, he said that rural road network will be upgraded and strengthened for benefitting commuters. He said that as Phagwara is Hub of industry so a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) will be set up in Phagwara and incentives will be given to local industry to compete with global industries. He further said that Phagwara City will be made a 100% water logging free city.
Mann said that a master plan will be made streamlining the traffic movement in the city. He said that Open gyms and parks will be made in every village and ward of the city. He also said that Five lakh saplings will be planted every year in Phagwara to make it a clean and green city for coming generations.
He said that as railway line intersects Phagwara from centre so Railway Under Bridges (RUB) and Railway Over Bridges (ROB) will be constructed wherever needed for facilitating people. He said that major thrust will be laid on ensuring solid waste management for disposal of solid waste. He said that major push will be given to development of villages on modren and scientific lines.
He said that Corruption free, transparent and accountable governance will be ensured in Phagwara to facilitate people. He said that focus will be laid on creating new job opportunities for the youth both in private and public sector. He said that a state of the art stadium cum Multi sports hub will be established in Phagwara to channelise unbounded energy of youth.
On the occasion Nirmal singh, Harmesh Pathak, Madam Lalit, Naresh sharma and others were also present.
