{"id":94629,"date":"2022-05-30T11:40:45","date_gmt":"2022-05-30T11:40:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timespunjab.com\/?p=94629"},"modified":"2022-05-30T11:43:59","modified_gmt":"2022-05-30T11:43:59","slug":"cm-announces-to-set-up-judicial-commission-under-sitting-judge-of-hc-to-probe-killing-of-sidhu-moosewala","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timespunjab.com\/?p=94629","title":{"rendered":"CM announces to set up Judicial commission under sitting judge of HC to probe killing of Sidhu Moosewala"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>&#8211;\u00a0 \u00a0Says perpetrators of the heinous crime will be behind the bars soon<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Chandigarh,\u00a0 30\u00a0 May\u00a0 \u00a02022\u00a0 \u00a0:\u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong>Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Monday announced to set up a Judicial Commission under chairmanship of a sitting judge of Hon\u2019ble Punjab and Haryana High Court for enquiring into the murder case of renowned singer Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, popularly known as Sidhu Moose Wala.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Chief Minister, while acceding to request by Balkar Singh Sidhu, the father of slain singer, said that the state government will be requesting the Hon\u2019ble Chief Justice of Punjab and Haryana High Court to get the case enquired into by the sitting judge of Hon\u2019ble Punjab and Haryana High Court. Bhagwant Mann said that the state government will ensure full cooperation to this Enquiry Commission including roping in of any of the central agency like National Investigation Agency (NIA). He further asked Director General of Police (DGP), Punjab to issue a clarification regarding his yesterday\u2019s press conference about this incident.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Condemning the gruesome murder of Sidhu Moose Wala, the Chief Minister unequivocally said that the government will leave no stone unturned to put the perpetrators of this heinous crime behind the bars. Bhagwant Mann said that he has already issued directions to Police for thorough investigation of the case in a prompt and result oriented manner. The Chief Minister categorically said that all the aspects of security reduction of late singer are also under scrutiny and responsibility of lapse, if any, will be definitely fixed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Meanwhile, expressing deep shock and grief at the sad and untimely demise of Sidhu Moose Wala, the Chief Minister said that the departed singer was a celebrated artist and a cultural icon of Punjab. Bhagwant Mann said that he has deep regards for departed soul adding that the state government is solidly with the aggrieved family in this hour of grief. He shared his condolences with the family and prayed to Almighty for granting eternal peace to departed soul and strength to the bereaved family members to bear this irreparable
