Jalandhar,\u00a0 23\u00a0 April\u00a0 2022\u00a0 :\u00a0<\/strong> \u00a0On the auspicious occasion of World Book Day, The Jalandhar Literary Forum under the Chairmanship of its Chairman Advocate Aditya Jain Celebrated The World Book day. Sh Navneet Sharma ( from New Zealand & a passionate reader) was the Chief Guest. Convenor of the forum Navjot Singh Advocate & Co-Convenor Rakesh Shantidoot (Senior Journalist) started the event with a welcome speech in which both apprised the participants about the activities of the Forum, its Mission & talked about the importance of Book reading.<\/p>\n

Thereafter, young students who are book readers came on the Dias & talked about their reading experiences, shared the enjoyment & creativity of the reading. Noorpal Kaur the young & passionate reader informed that she always spends her spare time reading books & her parents are the inspiration for her book reading. Udhay Veer Singh apprised that his interest is in mythological fictions & he has read books of Amish, Harshwardwan and other leading authors of the stream.<\/p>\n

Amrita Khurana said that book reading is her favourite source of entertainment & her father Manav Khurana always inspires & supports her & her brother in Book Reading. Jagjeewan Sidhu informed that they rarely watch television & book reading is their favourite hobby. Gautam, a student of Parkawati Vidya Mandi Mithapur said that religious- Spirituality is his favourite genre.<\/p>\n

Parvika Oberoi shared her experience & told that her mother is her inspiration for reading, she gave certain tips about book reading & said it would improve one’s pronunciation. Neeraj Kaushik Advocate & leading Drama artist interacted with readers & shared his Book Reading journey.<\/p>\n

In the end Chief Guest, Sh Navneet Sharma who is a Jail officer in New Zealand & Incharge to control & reforming prisoners briefed that he has persuaded certain of the prisoners to read the books & the furious gangsters have been made calm through the book reading & those gangsters are now inspiring others to read books. So Book Reading
\ncould be the source to reform the prisoners & make them calm.<\/p>\n

Navneet further informed that In New Zealand For releasing the land for housing colonies, one has to establish a school, Hospital & Library only then Land is released for housing society by the Government & Library is a mandatory requirement. The Members of the Literary forum Honoured the Chief Guest with a rope of Honour & presented a leading book on Indian Civilization.<\/p>\n

The forum also presented leading books to the attendee & Chairman Aditya Jain presided over the book presentation Programme. Advocate Anju Bala & Manju Balala thanked students, parents & chief guests for their presence & read a Vote of thanks.<\/p>\n

Parshotam Kapoor Media Secretary, Tejinder Pal Singh Bablu, Dr Vikram Chadha Gagandeep Mehta advocate, Devinder Sharma Advocate, Mukhtiar Singh Sidhu Advocate, Navjot Kaur Advocate, Vineet Oberio, Saket Malhotra, Rishu Moudgill, Gurcharan Singh were actively present in the programme. Amit Singh Advocate, the patron of the forum & Adv Gomti Bhagat said the forum will organize more on the ground events in the upcoming days & committed to promoting Book Reading & other literary streams.<\/p>\n
