He was 85.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Kumar breathed his last at his residence in Hiranandani here, his eldest son Gopal. &#8220;He passed away due to cardiac arrest, on Thursday morning around 5.30 am. He passed away very quietly. The funeral will take place around noon. We are waiting for the priest to arrive,&#8221; Gopal said.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-6106 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/timespunjab.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/ramsay-brothers-1625722956-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"535\" height=\"301\" srcset=\"https:\/\/timespunjab.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/ramsay-brothers-1625722956-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/timespunjab.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/ramsay-brothers-1625722956.jpg 715w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 535px) 100vw, 535px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Kumar was the son of producer FU Ramsay and the eldest of the seven brothers. The Ramsay Brothers, which included Keshu, Tulsi, Karan, Shyam, Gangu and Arjun, ruled the horror genre, making low-budget cult movies in the \u201970s and the \u201980s. Kumar was instrumental in scripting most of their films, including \u2018Purana Mandir\u2019 (1984), \u2018Saaya\u2019 (1989), featuring Shatrughan Sinha, and 1989 hit \u2018Khoj\u2019, which also starred Naseeruddin Shah. He also produced films like \u2018Aur Kaun?\u2019 (1979) and \u2018Dahshat\u2019 in 1981.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-6105 aligncenter\"
