June 28, 2021: <\/strong>Sonu Sood on Friday launched a new initiative, COVREG, which aims to create the world\u2019s biggest volunteer programme for Covid vaccination registration in Rural India. COVREG will address the challenges regarding lack of digital literacy, infrastructure and accessibility in rural areas.<\/p>\n

Under the initiative, volunteers will work towards eliminating vaccine hesitancy by educating the beneficiaries and busting common myths around it. They will register rural citizens and book slots for both the doses of the vaccination. A follow up will be held to ensure they reach the vaccination centres and then certificates will be provided post the vaccination.<\/p>\n

Sonu Sood says, \u201cVaccination is the need of the hour in India to win the battle against Covid-19. Rural India continues to struggle in coping with the pandemic and is now also struggling with vaccine registrations.<\/p>\n

COVREG is created based on detailed understanding of rural India and their needs observed through months of on-ground work. COVREG addresses rural-specific issues of vaccine registration and provides much-needed assistance to hesitant rural citizens. The trust that a neighbourhood volunteer warrants will be an additional push towards registration.\u201d<\/p>\n

Volunteer roles:<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. To create awareness and address queries\/myths related to Covid vaccination.<\/p>\n

2. Help in first vaccination registration and booking slots.<\/p>\n

3. Mobilised registered people to go to the vaccination centres.<\/p>\n

4. Help in second vaccination registration and booking slots.<\/p>\n
