Jalandhar, 05 November 2021 : <\/strong>Giving further impetus to the development of rural infrastructure, Cabinet Minister\u00a0Pargat\u00a0Singh today handed over the\u00a0cheques\u00a0worth Rs. 64 lakhs to as many as seven Panchayats of his constituency for various development works. These villages included khun khun (10 lakh) , Miranpur (8 lakh), Fatehpur (9 lakh), Hamiri Khera (9 lakh), Barsalan (10 lakh), Udhopur(10 lakh) and shahpur (8 lakh).<\/p>\n

Speaking on the occasion,\u00a0Sports and Education Minister Pargat\u00a0Singh said that this grant would further ensure the holistic development of the rural areas at par with the cities,\u00a0adding that the Gram Panchayats were mandated to immediately start the development works in their respective villages.\u00a0Pargat\u00a0Singh said that the state government was committed towards the all-round development of the villages and to achieve this goal a slew of measures have been taken by the governmentthus paving a way for all round development of basic infrastructure in rural areas.<\/p>\n

He said that the state government has emphasized the improvement of the rural road network, availability of clean drinking water, strengthening of infrastructure in schools, healthcare facilities in villages, and construction of model playgrounds for the rural folk.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the minister dedicated a open gymnasium in village Hamiri Khera as a measure to promote health awareness among rural population. He said that the government was taking various initiatives to boost sports infrastructure in villages to restore the prestine glory of the state.<\/p>\n

Mr.\u00a0Singh said that the Sarpanches of these villages were asked to immediately initiate the development works in their respective villages as there was no paucity of funds for the rural development.
