SBS Nagar, 01 November 2021 :\u00a0<\/strong> Deputy Commissioner (DC) Vishesh Sarangal and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kanwardeep Kaur on Monday carried out surprise inspections of mining sites falling in the district under Mission Clean. Accompanied by battery of officials from various departments, The Deputy Commissioner and SSP took stock of the de-silting sites in Shamaspur, Khojan and Railmajra.<\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \"\" \"\"<\/p>\n

Giving warning of exemplary action for over charging above the government\u2019s fixed rate that is Rs 9 per cubic feet at the mining site, they said that over-charging would not be tolerated at any cost. They ordered to strictly adhere to the guidelines of the Punjab Government. They asked the officials to keep a constant watch on the mining operations and any kind of callousness would be dealt with heavy hand.<\/p>\n

Both the officers said that the joint teams of Civil and Police administration have been formed to keep check on this entire operations. Further, they directed the mining officials to install boards displaying rate at all mining sites so that no one can dare to charge exorbitantly. They told that anyone can procure sand at the mining site of their own.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, they also interacted with the tractor-trolley owners who came to the quarries, who informed them that they have started getting sand at the fixed price. The Deputy Commissioner and SSP told him that if they face any problem, they can contact the district administration. Earlier, SSP also held a meeting with senior police officers and issued directions to keep check on the illegal mining in the district.<\/p>\n
