(Rajinder Kumar) Patiala, August <\/span>23 2026: <\/span><\/strong>During the state-level function organised on the occasion of the Teej festival in Patiala, Punjab Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Balbir Singh warmly welcomed Dr. Gurpreet Kaur Mann, wife of Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Mann, and Mrs. Raj Lali Gill, Chairperson of the Punjab State Women\u2019s Commission. A large number of women and residents of the area participated in the function, adding to the vibrancy of the Teej celebrations.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Gurpreet Kaur Mann said that the festival of Teej brings a message of happiness, togetherness, mutual brotherhood and love for Punjabi women. It is an integral part of Punjabi culture and traditional heritage, and plays an important role in connecting the new generation with its roots. She said that the present government is organising Teej celebrations in villages and cities across Punjab so that the Punjabi traditions can be further strengthened.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

She said that the Punjab Government, led by Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann, has taken important steps towards fulfilling the promises made to the people. Referring to the Punjab Government\u2019s Chief Minister Health Scheme, Mohalla Clinics and Maawan-Dhiyaan Satkar Scheme, she said that these initiatives are receiving widespread support from the people.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Mann specifically thanked Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh, saying that efficiently managing such a large gathering was commendable. She said that special attention had been paid to the facilities and security of the mothers and daughters attending the function.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Addressing the huge gathering on the occasion, Dr. Balbir Singh said, \u201cThis is the picture of Mann Government\u2019s Rangla Punjab, the colours of Punjabi heritage, respect for daughters and sisters, and the happiness of the people.\u201d He said that such functions are important for preserving Punjab\u2019s rich cultural heritage and connecting the younger generation with its heritage.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

During the function, the traditional colours of Teej, cultural performances and the large participation of women created a cheerful atmosphere. On the occasion, phulkaris, a symbol of Punjabi culture, were also given to women.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
