(Rajinder Kumar) FEROZEPUR; 15th August 2026: <\/strong>Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann today conferred state awards on 29 eminent personalities for their outstanding contribution in various fields on the occasion of the 80th Independence Day. He also honoured police personnel with the prestigious Chief Minister\u2019s Rakshak Padak and Chief Minister\u2019s Medal for Outstanding Duty during a state-level function held here today.<\/p>\n

Congratulating the awardees, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, \u201cThese state awards recognise the dedicated services and outstanding contribution of individuals who have worked tirelessly in their respective fields in the larger public interest. The awardees include social activists, artistes, litterateurs, poets, environmentalists, experts, government officials and others who have made a meaningful contribution to society.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Chief Minister conferred certificates and awards on Jagdev Singh from Bathinda for Bravery; Inderjit Singh from Malerkotla, Surinder Jagat from Jalandhar, Sunita Kapoor from Jalandhar, Sukhdeep Singh Dhillon from Bathinda, Avtar Singh Mann from Bathinda, Upinder Singh Ghai from Jalandhar, Jasvir Singh from Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, Jatinder Singh from SAS Nagar, Vinod Kumar from Amritsar, Avtar Singh from Amritsar and Pardeep Kumar from Sangrur for Social Service; Satveer Kaur from Patiala for Art; Nirmal Singh from Amritsar for Social Service; Mehar Malik from Jalandhar, Beant Singh Bajwa from Barnala, Sanjeev Saini from SAS Nagar, Baaj Singh from Patiala, Dr Mohammed Ayub Khan from Malerkotla, Premlata from Sangrur and Paramjit Kaur from Amritsar for Literature; Dr Parminder Singh from Amritsar for Health Services; Talwinder Singh from Kapurthala and Sukhraj Bhullar from Ludhiana for Science and Technology; and Kamaljit Singh from Ludhiana, Kanta from Amritsar and Ashok Kumar from SAS Nagar for Outstanding Duty.<\/p>\n

CM Bhagwant Singh Mann also honoured Head Constable Lovepreet Singh, Constable Baby Kumar, Lady Constable Charanjit, Lady Constable Mamta Rani and Senior Constable Angrej Singh with the prestigious Chief Minister\u2019s Rakshak Padak.<\/p>\n

The Chief Minister also conferred the Chief Minister\u2019s Medal for Outstanding Duty on Pawanpreet PPS, Surinder Singh PPS, Ashwani Kumar PPS, Inspector Rajesh Kumar, Inspector Gurmeet Singh, Inspector Davinder Singh, Inspector Satpal, Sub Inspector Inderjit Kaur, Sub Inspector Sandeep Kumar, Sub Inspector Karamjit Singh, Sub Inspector Baldev Singh, Sub Inspector Sukhwinder Singh, ASI Yadwinder Singh, ASI Narinder Sidhu, ASI Navtej Singh Brar, ASI Jatinder Singh, Senior Constable Amanpreet Singh, Senior Constable Ramanpreet Singh, Inspector Harjot Kaur and Senior Constable Amardeep Singh for their outstanding duty.<\/p>\n
