(Rajinder Kumar) Chandigarh, 02 October 2025: <\/strong>Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, Punjab has strengthened its identity at the global level. Now this state is not just India\u2019s \u2018food provider\u2019, but also an \u2018investment provider\u2019, Punjab has become the most preferred destination for investors from around the world. The growing investment from Japan, America, Germany, UK, UAE, Switzerland, France, Spain and other major countries is clear proof that the state\u2019s reach has now become global.<\/p>\n

Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Tuesday invited industrialists to become active participants in the socio-economic development of the country, saying that his \u2018industry-first\u2019 policies have created such an investment-friendly environment that encourages ease of doing business. He said that from March 2022 till now, Punjab has received investment proposals worth \u20b91.23 lakh crore, which is expected to create about 4.7 lakh employment opportunities. These figures not only show economic strength, but also promise to strengthen families by providing employment to youth at home.<\/p>\n

A concrete example of this global trust is the 100-year-old Netherlands company De Heus, which has established a state-of-the-art plant worth \u20b9150 crore in Rajpura. Starting production in just two years after laying the foundation in 2023 reflects the fast pace of business in Punjab. This plant will provide more than 300 direct jobs and millions of people in Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh will get indirect business opportunities.<\/p>\n

\"\" \"\" \"\" \"\"<\/p>\n

The Mann government has implemented several revolutionary reforms to bring the state to the top position in terms of \u2018ease of doing business\u2019. \u2018FastTrack Punjab Portal\u2019 is India\u2019s most advanced single-window system, which has completely eliminated the need for offline applications. Besides this, under the \u2018Punjab Right to Business Act\u2019, eligible units up to \u20b9125 crore are given in-principle approval in just 5 days. Punjab has become the first state to offer time-bound approvals within 45 days, deemed approval, escalation processes and extended validity for key licenses.<\/p>\n

The Chief Minister said that Punjab is the sacred land of great Gurus, Saints and Prophets, and \u2018anything can grow\u2019 on its fertile land. Despite the shocks of difficult times, the industry here has now become completely strong and developed. This is proved by the fact that despite having only 1.5% of India\u2019s total land, Punjab contributes a significant 3% to the country\u2019s total GDP. This is the result of the Mann government\u2019s industry-friendly thinking and the hard work of Punjab\u2019s courageous people.<\/p>\n

Punjab is now not limited to just agriculture or traditional industries, food processing, textiles, auto parts, IT, tourism and film industry are also developing rapidly here. Punjab is fully prepared to further advance its industrial capacity. Chief Minister Mann invited industrialists to participate in the Progressive Punjab Investors Summit to be held in Mohali on March 13, 14 and 15, 2026. He said, \u201cThis summit is the best platform to highlight Punjab\u2019s potential, explore collaboration opportunities and for networking. Together we can create a sustainable, inclusive and globally competitive industrial environment in Punjab.\u201d<\/p>\n

Punjab now presents an open opportunity for international investors, industrialists and new businesses. This state has become a major center of investment in the world due to its easy policies, rich resources and working in the interest of investors.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
