Ludhiana, 10 August 2024 :<\/strong> MP (Rajya Sabha) from Ludhiana Sanjeev Arora gave excellent performance during Monsoon and Budget Session 2024 of the Parliament concluded on Friday.
\nArora attended 14 sessions out of a total 15. He asked a total 28 questions belonging to different Ministries of Government of India (GoI) including Ministries of Health, Textiles, Agriculture, Tourism; Civil Aviation; Science and Technology and Earth Sciences and many others. He took up 25 issues during Zero Hour including associates and participated in 9 special mentions. He also participated in a discussion on health allocation in the Union Budget for FY 2024-25.<\/p>\n

The issues raised by Arora were of great public interest and directly concerning to common man, industry, women, students, and others. Participating in the discussion on the budget, he opined that Textile Industry is disappointed with budget as the industry was expecting duty reduction on imported raw cotton and polyester fibre. He also expressed his concern over ignoring the Health Sector and earmarking insufficient funds for this sector.<\/p>\n

Besides, many other critical issues, Arora raised a critical issue of pendency of almost 5 lakh cases before CIT (Appeals) across the country. He also raised critical issue of underage drinking and driving and recommended specific measures to the government to overcome the present situation. He also asked questions about tap water connections in the country, including Punjab. He also asked about performance of the Sakhi Niwas Scheme in the country. He also raised issue of Dumping of cheap Chinese fabrics & Duty-free import of man-made fabrics from Bangladesh.<\/p>\n

Further, Arora asked many other important questions and managed to get significant information related to arrival of foreign tourists in India, space tourism, employees cost on power generation, sustainable agriculture to mitigate impact of climate change on water and food security, income tax exemptions to the hospitals, youth hostels, India\u2019s ranking in travel and tourism development, seabed mineral and weather conditions impact on schoolchildren and others.<\/p>\n

Reacting over his performance, Arora said, \u201cI\u2019m fully satisfied with my performance.\u201d He thanked people of Ludhiana, including industrialists and industrial associations, for providing him their valuable feedback and information, which enriched him to raise questions in the Rajya Sabha. He said he has always tried to become a Voice of People of Punjab and Ludhiana as well in the Rajya Sabha. He hoped that his performance would benefit not only people of Ludhiana and whole of Punjab but other parts of the country because he has managed to bring valuable and vital information from different Ministries. He further hoped that this information would be of significant use in progress and development of Ludhiana, Punjab, and the Nation as well.<\/p>\n

Since Arora has become MP, his performance is better than National Average of all MPs in attendance, debates and questions asked.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
