Chandigarh,\u00a0 27\u00a0 December\u00a0 2022\u00a0 \u00a0:\u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong>In a bid to ensure time-bound delivery of services to public in a transparent and hassle-free manner, Punjab Housing and Urban Development (H&UD) Minister Mr Aman Arora, on Tuesday evening, conducted a surprise inspection at PUDA Bhawan.<\/p>\n

The Cabinet Minister along with Principal Secretary Housing and Urban Development Mr. Ajoy Kumar Sinha visited various branches to evaluate the work load on officials and pendency at their level.<\/p>\n

Asking the senior officers to rationalize the work load, Mr Aman Arora categorically said that public servants’ lackadaisical approach towards work will not be tolerated at any cost and sitting on files will invite stern action.<\/p>\n

Chief Minister S Bhagwant Mann led Punjab Government has come to power to overhaul the system by uprooting corruption, stated Mr. Aman Arora, while adding that H&UD department has adopted zero-tolerance towards corruption and delay in service delivery. The department had recently issued show-cause notices to 42 officials, besides charge-sheeting three officials for dereliction of duty.<\/p>\n

The Cabinet Minister said that the H&UD department has put in place an online mechanism in which applications and files received by the Department are being monitored by him personally. He categorically said that undue delay in clearance of applications lead to harassment and unethical corrupt practices, which is absolutely unacceptable at any cost.<\/p>\n
