Jalandhar, 10\u00a0 August 2021 :<\/strong>\u00a0 On the directives of Commissioner of Police Gurpreet Singh Bhullar, Commissionerate Police on Tuesday launched an intensive checking drive at all prominent places to ensure foolproof security cover in the city.<\/p>\n

While leading the campaign Assistant Commissioner of Police (Headquarter) Subash Arora said that in the wake of Independence Day event on August 15, Commissionerate Police was making concerted efforts to maintain law and order situation at any cost.<\/p>\n

The ACP further added that the anti-sabotage team, special operation group, district police and GRP Police jointly conducted inspection at vulnerable places including railway station. Mr. Arora stated that the teams also covered some of the government offices, market places, and religious places with higher footfall including passport officer, court complex, Devi Talab Mandir, Rainik Bazaar, Dilkusha market, Bus Stand, followed by special checking at Guru Gobind Singh Stadium, where district level Independence Day event was going to be organized on August 15, 2021.<\/p>\n

The ACP mentioned that during the checking in public places, the officials also sensitized people and shopkeepers to remain vigil of any kind of suspicious activities and inform police immediately, if they found anything unusual.
