IMPOUND FOUR BUSES, SEIZEDS RCs OF TWO BESIDES IMPOSING FINE TO FOUR ANOTHER BUSES
SAYS CHECKING TO BE INTENSIFIED IN DAYS TO COME, VIOLATORS WILL NOT BE SPARED
JALANDHAR, 15 APRIL 2022 : Punjab Transport Minister Laljeet Singh Bhullar on Friday evening launched a surprise check of buses, its permits and other documents here. The Minister impounded four buses flouting rules besides imposing fine to another four and seizing registration certificate of two buses.
The Minister along with local officers started checking of buses near Bidhipur railway crossing and Rama Mandi Chowk, where he found four buses violating permit rules including three of Kartar Bus service and one Padda Transport Co., Gurdaspur.
The Minister also imposed a fine of Rs 54000 to Sehgal Vashisht Bus service of Patiala, Rs.10,000 to Kapurthala based bus company and Rs. 2000 each to Rajdhani Bus, Hoshiarpur and popular Roadways. The Registration Certificates of two buses namely Doaba Roadways and Partiala Bus Highways.
Giving a strict warning to those evading tax or running buses without proper documentations, the Minister said that such practices would be no longer as the checking drive was to be intensified in days to come and none would be spared violating transport norms.
