2 June 2021, Google devoted its gratitude to American gay rights activist, Franklin Edward Kameny. He is one of the renowned faces of American Gay Rights Movement.

Born on May 21, 1925, Frank was an astronomer in the US Army’s Army Map Service in Washington DC. But was dismissed from his position in 1957 due to his homosexuality.

This happening lead him to start “A Herculean Struggle with the American establishment” which rose to a new period of militancy in the homosexual rights movement, in the early 1960’s.

He Graduated from Queens College, Harvard University. He’s also the co-founder of Mattachine Society, Washington DC. He fought really hard for the equal rights for the homosexual people.
